This mural is located South East Of Calgary on the Shepard Wetland at Ralph Klein Park.

The artwork sits on a playground constructed of natural materials, it is surrounded by learning gardens, interpretive trails and wetland viewing areas. Families visiting park learn about the surrounding natural environment just by being there.

Continuing the theme of education about the natural environment I chose to represent the rockies which you can see looking West of the park and the wetlands to the East. Looking closely at the murals viewers can spot vegetation and wildlife native to these environments.
