Artist Bio

After graduating from the Alberta College of Art Design program Curtis continued to progress as an artist and designer where his methods of merging graphic elements with realistic hand-painted details led to murals for Disney studios, Calgary Municipal Land Corporation, and set design for the Alberta Ballet.

Curtis Van Charles is best known for his large-scale murals located across Western Canada where he executes freehand spray painting mixed with thoughtfully placed graphic elements. The foundation for this artistic expression is born from a deep-rooted love of pop culture, small-town life, and the great outdoors.

Curtis Van Charles is currently based near the Alberta Foothills in Okotoks, AB.
