Frenchie Wine Bar

This is a special painting I created referencing a photo of the owners French Bulldog ‘Penny’.
After several revisions we settled on a composition where Penny could be immortalized as a beautiful princess surrounded by exotic birds, fancy silks and vases.

I came up with a design for a hand carved frame and worked with a legendary wood carver out of Nelson, BC who spent several weeks carving out the intricate details.

Once completed I gilded the frame in gold and had a brass plaque fabricated with the title ‘Frenchie’ engraved into it.
